Labrador State School held a moving ANZAC Day Service on Friday 24 April at 10:00am in The Great Hall. Special Guests included Mr Tommy Brittain, Mr Jack Lennon and members of National Serviceman's Association. This ceremony demonstrated the strong sense of respect the students of Labardor State School have for those men and women who have fought in all wars and conflicts.
On the Saturday 25 April 2009, school leaders, students , staff and parents marched in the morning ANZAC Parade in Southport. Many thousands of people were present at this ceremony. The school leaders lay wreaths at the memorial.
