To support the needs of our students, Labrador State School has a wide variety of pastoral care programs. These initiatives target students who may be at risk or require support with social skills.
The behaviour management plan captures all these initiatives as well as reinforcing the need for positive and appropriate choice behaviour from students. The following outlines the extensive support we offer all our students.
* Lunch Time Club Activities – fun recreational activities. * Bat Cave – Social skilling using play as the focus * Peace Plus Area * Komputers for Kids * Youth and Young Adult Program * Boys Belong Mentor Program * Bunnings Warehouse Workshops * Early Years Social Skills Program * ELAPSE – Experiential Learning Approach to Personal Skills Enhancement. * LEEAP – Labrador Early Enhancement and Adjustment Program * SUPA KIDS – Safety Awareness, Understanding Self and Others, Positive and * Respectful Relationships and Anger Management * A+ Awards – Reinforcing quality behaviour choices of students. * Star Charts – Process of monitoring student behaviour in the classroom. * B- Slips – Process of monitoring inappropriate choice behaviour of students.
