ANZAC DAY MARCH - 25th April 2017

As per the school’s traditions, Labrador State School will be participating in the Southport RSL Anzac Day march this year. Students and parents who wish to participate will be asked to meet me on Short St in Southport (near the Southport RSL) by no later than 7:45am. Our school will then be allocated a position in the procession, which will commence between 8:40am and 9:00am. After the march has concluded, our school will attend the remembrance ceremony, where some of our school leaders will lay wreaths.
We would love as many students and parents as possible to come along, however, please note that school staff will not be responsible for the supervision of the students on the day as Anzac Day is not a scheduled school day, therefore parents will be required to accompany their children during the march and the ceremony. If you do come along, please remind your children of the appropriate behaviour expected during this important event.
NOTE: - student participating in the march must be in full SCHOOL UNIFORM.
Kind regards,

Andrew Williams
Acting Deputy Principal
