Student welfare action team

 


The Student Welfare Action Team (SWAT) at Labrador State School meets on a fortnightly basis and is concerned with identifying and assisting students needing learning, behavioural, physical, intellectual, auditory, visual, speech, language or emotional support.

Students are identified and referred to SWAT and prioritized on a needs basis.

The support team comprises of the Deputy Principal, Guidance Officer, Learning Support Teacher, Head of Special Education Services (HOSES), Speech Language Therapist, Parent Support Worker (LEEAPP), Early Years Intervention Teacher, Behaviour Advisory Teacher (BAT) and relevant classroom teacher.

Parents/Carers can contact their classroom teacher or the Administration if they wish to discuss the needs of their child/ren.
