Communication between the school, your student's classroom and the home is essential. All teachers at Labrador strive to maintain this level of communication, and parents are encouraged to be involved and aware of their student’s educational progress and needs.
The most effective way to communicate with your student's teacher is through the Compass app. For day-to-day updates, please message through the secure app. Regular community notifcations and news bulletins are also provided through this platform. To receive an invitation to Compass, please contact our Admin Office.
We also engage in other avenues to involve parents in their student's learning. These include:
- Parent Teacher Conversations in Week 3/4 of Term 1
- Formal parent / teacher interviews in the middle of Term 3
- Formal report cards at the end of Term 2 and Term 4
We encourage an ongoing commitment to improving our school. If you would like to discuss your child's education, please make time to contact your child's teacher by emailing, phoning or coming into the school and organising a meeting.
